Full Slate of Festivities on Tap for Family Day
(Menor)

On Saturday, Oct, 28, Colegio Menor is excited to welcome all families to the Family Day
event that everyone is waiting for, featuring delectable food and a wide array of exciting activities.

“Family day is the best opportunity to get the entire school and campus to celebrate and grow together in a single day,” Michael Anderson, Colegio Menor High School principal, said.

The first event of the day will begin with the parade around 9 a.m. Students from every grade across campus will enter the soccer field full of emotions, all of them singing chants that each grade creates.

“I am excited because since I was little I always saw the seniors in their last parade and now
knowing it is my turn I am excited and also a little scared,” Rafael Alban, Colegio Menor senior,
said.

A diverse range of activities awaits attendees at the Family Day events that follow the parade. Participants  can put their gaming skills to the test at the Video Game and Emoji Quiz stations, or for some aquatic fun, visit the water slide on the end of the soccer pitch.

Henna tattoos and ping pong tables will also be present. For those in search of a scary experience, a Haunted House is being hosted by the seniors.

“We are preparing a scary haunted house based on a haunted circus and mischievous clowns,” Nicolas Moreano, Colegio Menor senior StuGov member, said.

There’s much more in store at the event, with a variety of activities to explore and enjoy throughout the day.

Families attending the event can also enjoy a diverse culinary experience, with each grade’s parents offering distinct food options.

For those in the mood to watch some sports, the event’s highlight includes varsity team matches against special opponents.

Seniors Set for Spooky Affair

In a thrilling anticipation of Colegio Menor’s Family Day on October 28, the senior class of 2024 is set to unleash a spine-chilling experience upon their school grounds.

In a unique fundraising initiative, the seniors are transforming the campus into a haunted house, promising an unforgettable night of fear and fun for all attendees. Under the leadership of the senior ClassCos, the class of 2024 has meticulously planned what promises to be the most terrifying haunted house in the school’s history.

“We are really excited for the haunted house,” said Jose Ignacio Plaza, a ClassCo for Grade 12. “We have prepared and planned everything to make it one of the scariest haunted houses in this school’s history.”

This year’s haunted house, themed around a nightmarish realm of crazy clowns, has not only captured the imagination of the seniors but also their dedication.

Senior Joselo Begnini emphasized the hard work put in by his classmates in the days leading up to the highly anticipated Family Day event.

“My expectations for the haunted house is that it is going to be the most awaited game,” said Begnini. “Everyone with this shift is going to have to work really hard to make this a memorable experience for our visitors.”

The seniors have divided themselves into shifts, with each group tasked with crafting eerie props and setting up the haunted house. From designing ominous decor to perfecting spine-chilling sound effects, the class of 2024 is leaving no stone unturned to create an atmosphere of terror.

Martin Revelo, a senior ClassCo, expressed his classmates’ commitment to making their last year at Family Day unforgettable.

“We, as ClassCos, are prepared to do everything possible to make our last year at Family one to remember.” said Revelo. “Our haunted house is just one of the many ways we are contributing to the school community and leaving a legacy behind.”

Visitors to the haunted house can expect a night of heart-stopping surprises as the seniors take turns donning the roles of deranged clowns and lurking shadows. The haunted house, an integral part of Family Day, symbolizes the seniors’ creativity and teamwork, showcasing their dedication to making the event truly memorable.

As the October 28 event approaches, the excitement within the school community is palpable.

The seniors of Colegio Menor are not just creating a haunted house; they are crafting an experience that will be etched in the memories of all those brave enough to enter.

Brace yourselves, for on Family Day, the halls of Menorwill echo with screams, laughter, and the unforgettable echoes of a day spent in the seniors’ meticulously designed nightmare.
