Roses are Red: A V-Day Tradition
Students from Colegio Menor received roses on February 14 for the annual celebration of Valentine’s Day. During break, StuGov members distributed roses bought prior by the community of Menor and other schools as an act of love and friendship.
A month ago, StuGov announced the sale of roses for the upcoming Valentine’s Day celebration.
Students could buy a rose for a dollar during break and lunch for a week and a half and send it to either someone from the school or from another institution. Winning the hearts of the community, the rose sale turned out to be a huge success, even better than years before.
Maria Jose Arboleda Puma, who likes to be called "La Jose" or "Majo," is in 11th grade at Colegio Menor.
