Eating is not just about fulfilling a vital part of our body’s needs, but also about the pleasure and enjoyment that comes from eating delicious meals.

“Eating is not just about fueling our bodies,” said Michael Pollan. “It’s about nourishing our souls, too.”

For those of you that are willing to go out and take some risks in pursuit of new flavors to your culinary pallet, check out my top five restaurant suggestions for you to try this week.

Restaurant 1 — Royal India

If you are a risk taker who loves to try new meals and you are open to stepping out of your comfort zone with different ingredients, flavors and cuisines, it’s time to try this restaurant that is located not to far from the school.

Royal India, “right from India to your dish,” is a restaurant mixed full of Indian flavors, spices and creamy dishes.  One special dish to try is the Chicken Tikka Masala, a traditional Indian dish that will surprise you with its flavors.

If you are interested in some culture or history of India or why they eat with their hands, the owner of the place is more than happy to show you more about their culture.

Restaurant 2 — Nuum

If you are in the mood of some fancy cuisine, and want to try “out of this world” looking dishes, Nuum is definitely your cup of tea.

These contemporary dishes will blow your mind by changing  familiar dishes into something you have never seen or tried before.

Nuum is an excellent option if you are unsure what to eat. Chef Jose, the owner, will welcome you and ask what you are craving for and he will prepare whatever you want.

The best dishes to try: the ceviche of wahoo with passion fruit and turmeric; the lamb chops with sweet sauce and macadamia; and the stone crab with plantain chips and peanuts.

Restaurant 3 — CORE

Are you that kind of  person that hates to eat the same dishes over and over agin?

Well, this restaurant changes their menu of special dishes every week. Core provides enough fun and diverse flavors that you could even go every few weeks.

Core is a restaurant that provides interesting dishes that taste very different from what they look. Some of the best dishes in this restaurant is the hamachi with a sweet sour sauces and a special green sauce.

Core is located just off of the main park in Cumbaya.

In fact, many Italian dishes are so simple but at the end the simple flavors that are put together make great combinations.

If you love Italian food, the best option for you could be Trattoria da Francesca, freshly made pasta, delicious pasta and cheese.

The fore the best dish I tasted was the crab ravioli with nuts and herbs. This dish will definitely take you to Italy with its rich flavors and delicious fresh made pasta.
