Elias Godoy is in 11th grade at Colegio Menor. He joined the journalism class this year after previously participating in the creative writing class last year.

He enjoys classes that require writing new and exciting things or classes that push him to be a better writer. He has a few hobbies, but he mainly enjoys playing guitar. He has other interests, but he considers them not as important as the guitar.

Elias might not have been as interested in journalism before, but he always read the news and kept up with events around the world. His goals are to be able to write a news story that is satisfactory to both himself and the readers that might read the text.

He doesn’t want to pursue journalism or writing in the future but thinks it’s necessary to develop a lot of crucial skills that one may need in adulthood.

He’s most excited about writing about school-wide events such as “Coreografias.” He thinks such events that have such importance to the entire community of the school should be immortalized through any means possible, even if it’s just a news article on a website.
