Mia Gagliardo is an 18-year-old Peruvian who likes to be called “Mimi.” She joined journalism to communicate with students about important news in school and outside of school, but she wanted also to increase her skills in editing and communication. 

“I would like to inspire people to develop ideas and accomplish goals,” said Mia.

Outside of this class, she enjoys talking to her friends and eating. Her favorite restaurant is Osaka because of its Peruvian cuisine.

Outside of school, she enjoys drawing as it helps her relax and express her feelings, going to the gym, listening to music, and spending time with friends. Mia wants to study business management either in Italy or Spain.

Mia really enjoys traveling and exploring new adventures as she gets the opportunity to learn about new cultures and landscapes. This past summer she went for one month to Canada alone with her younger sister and visited many amazing places such as Jasper, Edmonton, Banff, among other extraordinary places.
