Camila Ortiz, Layout & Design
Camila Ortiz is a senior at Colegio Menor. She joined Journalism when she saw an opportunity to express herself about events around her community.
She enjoys learning from others, as well as teaching others herself. She saw this opportunity as she considers herself a very active girl, with a lot to say, and it focuses on her community and talking about what's happening around her.
“I like speaking and giving my opinion,” said Camila.
During school, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, whether that be lunch, break, or classes. She loves to talk about her favorite things to do on the weekends and the plans she's thinking about with her friends and loved ones. She is taking AP Psychology this year, hoping to learn more about the mind and how people think. She considers this class a very unique one, where she can learn how we work chemically and physically when it comes to feeling and thinking. Her dream career is to be a nutritionist so psychology has a lot to do with it.
Outside of school, she trains with the school’s volleyball team. She also goes out with her friends and enjoys going to parties. On the weekend, she spends her time with her family, watching movies and cooking new recipes every time she can. After graduating, she plans to study various topics abroad, like nutrition and health, business, and personal development, around the world.
